The venue fee includes use of all the facilities in Pentre Mawr, marquees barns and outdoor areas. It also includes management of your wedding day and dealing with any minor hiccups that may arise. A room, cottage suite or safari lodge of your choice for 2 nights for the bridal couple for the night before and the night of the wedding.

We’re pretty unconventional here. We charge one fee so that it’s easier for you to budget. We believe that to get an idea of all of the lovely extras Pentre Mawr provides, it’s best to come and have a look around, and so you won’t find our prices on any websites. All of our wedding couples are asked to fill the rooms onsite for the night before and night of their wedding, and therefore we will be unable to book you separately into one of our rooms. If you are wondering if you have a place to stay at the venue, please ask the wedding couple. If you are not staying with us, please refer to our List of Local Accommodation for some great nearby alternatives.

Check-in is anytime after 3.30pm.

If you’re not staying onsite with us, we would recommend organising your journey home a few days prior to the wedding. As we’re not on a main road, you unfortunately won’t be able to hail a taxi outside. Below are some local taxi companies who will be able to sort transport for you.

There is a total of 15 rooms but only the nine rooms outside the main house need to be paid for, either by guests or the wedding couple, even if they are unoccupied. Rooms will be allocated by the wedding couple (Look at the rooming list to see which rooms are most suitable for your guests). We also recommend local accommodation if you need more rooms.

As with any self-catering, your guests will pay for their own accommodation at a rate of £350 per room for 2 nights including a breakfast hamper. All guests must remain in the same room for both nights as there is no change over during weddings.

You are more than welcome to bring your own alcohol the night before your big day for your BBQ/takeaway. On the day of your wedding all alcohol and soft drinks must be bought and consumed from our bar which is run by Lucille who accepts card or cash. All empties must be removed from site.

Yes! We have plenty of chivari chairs and 6ft rounds as well as trestle and cake tables. You may need to hire or purchase your tablecloths if your caterer does not supply them. Your caterer should provide plates/cutlery etc, but please confirm that with them. Otherwise, you can buy recyclable ones for a more relaxed experience.

Once you have paid your £1000 deposit this will secure your date. We will send you an invoice for 50% of the balance which is due 9mths before your wedding date. The remaining balance is due 2mths before your wedding date and will include a catering fee of £200 which allows your caterer to come on site. Your caterer should be happy to make this payment for use our facilities which negates the need to hire in a catering kitchen. Your final invoice includes a £250 refundable deposit which is normally refunded to you the day after your wedding.

No. More couples are choosing to get married by a celebrant which offers a more personal and relaxed ceremony than that of a civil ceremony. This gives them the freedom to personalise their vows instead of a scripted formality. Couples can have the legal ceremony and sign the paperwork at their local registry office a few days before and wait to exchange rings on their wedding day in front of all their guests. It’s a personal choice so whether you choose to get married by a celebrant, registrar at the venue or in a church, whichever you choose we can’t wait to celebrate with you.

As we live in beautiful North Wales, we see our fair share of rain! Hopefully the weather will play nicely on your special day but don’t worry if not, we have you covered. Most couples choose to say ‘I do’ on the Summer Terrace which is our open-air terrace which is perfect for a dry day. If we decide on the morning to keep everyone dry, we have our ceremony marquee always ready in our Walled Garden.

We understand life sometimes throws a curve ball so if you need to cancel your wedding, please email us, so we have it in writing. Your

venue fee deposit of £1000 is non-refundable and if we have at least 9 months’ notice you will not be required to pay any further deposits.

The later the better! Otherwise, your guests will need feeding before your wedding breakfast. We suggest the very earliest 2pm but do tell your guests to eat a hearty brunch before they arrive as they will not be eating until around 4pm. Comfort and carbs are a good option for your evening reception, to soak up the drink while dancing the night away!
